Butterflies & Pearls For Tilda

Greetings everyone. Hope this finds you all doing well.

Due to the colon  cancer I have I am now going to a total veggie/fruit diet to help fight the cancer.
Plant based foods have been proven to stop cancer and even reverse it.

Plus I am very over weight and shedding some pounds would be good for me. Please pray for me as I step out in faith to do my part to help fight this cancer.

This was a fun card to design.

I enjoyed using a spray of pearls and a string of pearls to accent my card.

Using my Copic air brush I added a touch of pink to my white flowers.

Tilda is so cute in her Sunday dressed outfit. Using my all time favorite color pink, it was neat to use beige as my secondary color for her sweater top and lace edging.

Ribbon, bg paper & cs from my stash.

PLANTING SEEDS ~ TILDA

Spring time is a time to plant those wonderful gardens full of fun veggies and fruits.
Tilda is already beginning her planting of seeds.

In designing this card, I used a dotted swiss nestie templete with white card stock made on my Cuttlebug.
I really love my Copic air brush, I used a blue shade to add a splash of color to my white flowers, so much fun.
Buttons and bows are always fun to use. Copic pens to color.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Puppy Love ~ Tilda

Tilda is so cute holding her cute new puppy. It is puppy love for sure.

On a side note:
"Puppy Love" is a popular song written by Paul Anka in 1960 for Annette Funicello, whom he was dating at the time.
Anka's version reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and #33 on the UK singles chart.

I remember having a puppy just after I was first married,  his name was Sargie. He was a Dachshund/Terrier mix.

I used Copic pens and embossed background cs.
Buttons, Ribbon bows and Puppy button from my stash.

I know this card is more on the simple side, but I liked the way it came together. Hope you will enjoy it.

Many thanks for coming by for a visit.
Have a super wonderful day.

Tilda ~ Fancy Elegant Hat

It is a great day in the Great NW of Oregon. A super day to enjoy some card creating time.

Tilda is all dressed up and looks so pretty. I used gray shades of my favorite Copic markers.

Which is correct, the "grey" or "gray" spelling?

Have you often wondered "Am I spelling g-r-e-y correctly...or is it g-r-a-y?". How do you spell the color grey or gray? Well, the answer is they are both correct. There are two acceptable spellings. Gray is used primarily in the United States and other areas that use US English. Grey is used in Great Britain and areas that use UK English.

I have been wanting to use these black pearl swirls and so came up with this card.

The heart charm, ribbon bows, flowers, lace ribbon, are from my stash.

Many thanks for coming by. Have a wonderful day.

Blessings,  Doreen

Wagons Of Fun ~ Tilda

Happy Monday everyone. We were blessed with some nice warm weather finally. But they say cooler temps will return in a couple days. That is spring in the great NW of Oregon.

Tilda is busy planting and picking flowers. Used my favorite Copics to color Tilda and her wagon.
Tilda's basket is full of flowers using Flower Soft.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts all other items are from my stash.

I had fun designing this stair step card. It seems to take me hours to make one of these.

Wishing you all a fantastic wonderful week. Have fun creating cards.

Blessings, Doreen

Read & Discover

While traveling:

All around us were dunes and marsh and beach grasses and an abundance of gulls, egrets, and blue herons. It was active and loud and wonderful!

We had arrived at Chincoteague and Assateague Islands—famous for the annual pony swim from one island to the other.

Others had realized its value and beauty long before, but to us it was undiscovered country.

The Scriptures are like “undiscovered country” to many. They have never discovered the valuable treasures found in the eternal words of the Bible.

The Bible is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, exposing our innermost thoughts and desires (Heb. 4:12). It is like a lamp to illuminate our path (Ps. 119:105), and it has been given to equip us for God’s purposes (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

Open the Bible and read it so you can find these treasures. It’s time . . . to discover!

Have a blessed day in the Lord and His Word, each day.

Spring Cuttings ~ Tilda

Floral boquets are so pretty. I remember my Mom would cut us wonderful bouquets from our garden. Tulips, carnations, camellia's and early roses.

Here Tilda with her garden scissors it getting ready to snip some nice flowers.

The earliest known flower arranging dates back to ancient Egypt. Egyptians were decorating with flowers as early as 2,500 BCE. They regularly placed cut flowers in vases.
Highly stylized arrangements were used during burials, for processions, and simply as table decorations. Illustrations of arranged flowers have been found on Egyptian carved stone reliefs and painted wall decorations.

Tilda with her garden boots on cuts a flower, and is colored with my favorite Copic colors.

BG paper is a fun one from my stash. Embellished with a scissor charm, lace, ribbon, rhinestones all from my stash. MS leaf punch and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Toe Shoes For Ballet ~ Tilda

Greetings everyone.  I have had some time to enjoy stamping my favorite Tilda images.

This wonderful Ballet Tilda is a new image for me.

Ballet originated as court dances  in Italy, but quickly migrated to France where they futhur developed steps and gave them names.  The dances were for royalty, and only for men.

The first female dancers to perform professionally appeared in 1681, however these dancers traditionally wore masks, headresses and heeled shoes. Both men and women wore hoopskirts as well.

Wow that is something to think about. In this case no hoop skirt for Tilda.
I created this card using Tilda in her elegant Ballet Tutu with Toe shoes.

Using a nestie back ground for Tilda and some beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts with green leaves using a MS leaf punch. Colored Tilda with my favorite Copic colors.

Added a fun little heart charm, with pearls, ribbon and decorated stick pins from my stash.

Many thanks for coming by for a visit. Love your encouragements to me. They mean a lot.
Hugs to all.
Happy card creating.

Blessings, Doreen

Hello dear friends. How are you all doing?

I am fine, I had a cat scan last Friday and now waiting the results. Looks like more surgery coming in a month or so. So in the mean time I will enjoy sunny spring days and some card creating time.

Due to some financial issues, I am having to watch my spending on my hobbies. So I am challenging my self to use what I have in my stash. I am so envious of most of you who have such wonderful supplies to use.

My patio was in the shade when we took the photo of this card and so it is darker than I would like it to be. It is in different shades of blues.

Tilda is enjoying a nice warm spring day. I used Copic pens and Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the scalloped and plain oval from my nestie collection. MS leaf punch with a sweet little heart charm.
Lace and ribbons, pearls and other items are from my stash.

My Redeemer Lives

What a thrill to KNOW that my Redeemer lives!

Jesus Christ is just as alive today as He was right after the resurrection. In fact, He is just as much alive today as He was before the crucifixion, and even before He came to earth and was laid in the manger.

A living God knows right where you are day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.

He sees your every need, hears your every cry, and longs to hold you close to Himself.

He is present to walk with you through the valley.

He provides a song in the night. He takes your feet from the muck and mire and plants them on a rock.

He blesses you with hope and gives joy for Life’s journey.

Job 19:25
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.

Have a very blessed Easter.

Tilda ~ Hello Girlfriend

Tulips are like little spring cups, coming in all colors.

The word Tulipa (the latin name) comes from the Turkish word tulbendor "turban" that the flower resembles.

The tulip was cultivated in Turkish Empire gardens well before the 1500's

The Tulip made its way to Europe by 1559.

I am so glad it made its way to America. I love all the varieties that they come in.

Tilda is enjoying Spring in her tulip garden.

I used more of a simple card laytout. Colored with Copic pens. Ribbon flowers and ribbon BG papers are from my stash.

Challenges I joined:

I appreciate your time to come by and leave comments. Have a wonderful day.

Blessings, Doreen

Victory In Foggy Days

Good morning everyone. Hope this note finds you all having a wonderful weekend.

I was going through family photos and it was interesting to see how my Mom and I would go from thin to obese to thin to obese.

I am very obese and need to loose some weight to fight this cancer. As my research tells me that cancer cells will live on sugar in our systems.

I was doing really well on a new eating plan but to my own weakness I fell back into eating sugar items. Not a good thing.

I need to get back to my juicing and eating more veggies.  I know that is the right way to go, but I allow my weakness for other foods get in my way.

As I strive to get back on board I will need the help of my Heavenly Father to help me stay focused.

God will provide His power,  His wisdom, His love, His goodness and it will not be diminished in any way by our circumstances.

What a comfort to know God is for us and not against us. Now I just need to do my part. Let us not allow the fog to over power us to defeat. We will have victory in all that we do according to our Heavenly Father.

May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill all your counsel!
We will sing for joy over your victory,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners.
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.
Psalm 20:4-5

Have a blessed week, Doreen
