Christmas Tree Tilda

Hi my dear friends, well this week is cookie baking week. But there is still time to make cards.

I used Copic pens to color Tilda. Also a SU tree stamp for my background.

All other items from my stash. I made the stick pin. I cut off silver leaves from a branch of leaves I got at JoAnn's.

I am not usually one to do Christmas themed cards out of other colors. Plus I am not a purple color person too much. But this all just seemed to fall together. Hope you like it.

Snowflake Frost For Tilda

So many parts of the US are getting hit hard with lots of snow and ice.
I pray for their safety and warmth.

We had a cold snap last week and it was in the teens at night a couple times.
But we have warmed up a bit now, even though it is still cold out.

I enjoyed making this Tilda card and using fun embellishments.
I colored Tilda with Copic pens, used a SU tree image stamp for
the background.

Pearls, ribbon, glitter trim at the top & bottom, glitter leaves and
flowers and stick pin all from my stash.

I used glitter glue on Tilda's fur trims and wings to add some sparkle.

Altogether a fun card, I have to laugh, I think I end up with more glitter
on me than I do the card, LOL.

I will enter this card in these challenges:

Magnolia Down Under Challenge ~ Anythng Goes

Magnolia-licious Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Midweek Magnolias ~ White Christmas

Totally Tilda Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Wishing you all a great upcoming week. Even though it is a busy time of year,
may you find some relaxing time to stamp. Hugs to all.

They say we are having cold weather heading our way, so what a better way to spend a day and that is to make some fun cards.

Tilda is all bundled up and is carrying a silver bell. With her fun SU snowmen in the background.

I colored with Copic pens, used Opac glitter glue to enhance the bell and fur on the coat and hat.

Oval Spellbinder scalloped in blue CS and white with HA stamped snow flakes. Flowers  from WOC.
Stick pin made with beads from my sister's stash.

Angel Tilda

Greetings everyone, once again my
computer is home from a major
repair time.
It is horrible being off line.

But I used my time in making some
fun cards.

This card features Angel Tilda colored
with Copic pens, C00, C02 in a white on
white setting enhanced with silver
rhinestones & leaves.

I used opac glitter glue on Tilda's wings.
White pearls and also some lace with
sparkle netting.

I made the stick pins and also used my
Spellbinder scalloped circle and
name tag.

I always find it a challenge to use
white on white but fun just the same.

Hope you like this card. I am trying to
go for the Wow effect on my cards, so hope
I am improving.

Harvest Time

Greetings, everyone.  I have been off my blog beat for a few months and now excited to return making some fun cards to share.

Fall is here and it is fun to go to the farms for wonderful produce and yummy goodies too.

Harvest time is a colorful time of year. With many events to go to.

I love this verse:
We give thanks to God
the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
praying always for you.
Colossians 1:3

Prayer time is special and gives us strength and peace.

On my card I used a Cuttlebug folder of wood grain impressions. I mounted it on SU Chocolate Chip cs. And used a stipple brush to add color to the wood grain with the same  color.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. All other items from my stash.

I am entering this card in :

Twist Of Faith ~ Harvest

Many thanks for visiting me and I look forward to getting back in the swing of things again.
Blessings to all

Spring Fun

Hi everyone, I have been busy quilting
and making quilts, quilted tote bags and
table runners plus more for the Holiday
Bazar I am in this Sept.

I will photo them as I get them done.

Also working on cards too for the bazar.
The next few postings will be more of
keeping in touch with you all.

I am fine and feeling on the slow side, but
I do keep moving each day.

Quilting the stitching together of layers of
padding and fabric, may date back as far
as ancient Egypt.

In Europe quilting appears to have been
introduced by Crusaders in the 22th century

Russia holds the oldest example in existence.
It is a quilted linen carpet found in a
Mongolian cave, and now kept at the
Saint Petersburg department of the
Russian Academy of Sciences,

Quilt making was common in the late
18th century and early years of the 19th.
Most women were busy spinning, weaving
and sewing in order to clothe their family. Commercial blankets or woven coverlets
were a more economical bedcovering for
most people. Only the wealthy had the leisure
time for quilt making so Colonial quilting
was done by only a few.
Obviously quilts were not made of left over
scraps or worn clothing as a humble
bedcovering during this period. Instead
they were decorative items that displayed
the fine needlework of the maker such as the Baltimore album quilts.
Whole cloth quilts, broderie perse and
medallion quilts were the styles of quilts
made during the early 19th century.

Can you tell I love history..... ;-D

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.
Blessings

Wings For Tilda

Hi everyone, many thanks for your prayers
and well wishes for the ultra sound I had
done today. All went well and the doctor
will give me the results in a few days, but
according to the technician there were no
lumps showing which is a good sign.

Sometimes I get frustrated as I love to really
add tons of bling to my cards. But to mail
them is too costly. I belong to 4 groups and
I so totally enjoy the swaps. So with mailing
them I have to keep them flat for the most
part and still try to add some pretty bling.

I am going to feature some of these cards in
the future to share what I have come up with.

But for tonight, I have this Tilda card. Colored
with Copic pens. SU papers and ribbon.
Flowers from WOC. Stick pin by my sister
Karen. Also my Spellbinder scalloped oval
and plain oval. I happened to come across
these three cute heart shaped pearls.

I will enter this card in these challenges:

Tilda ~ Spring Flowers

Hi everyone, how was your weekend.
Mine was okay and did some cuttlebugging
and image stamping. My SU party did not
go well as many had to cancel at last minute
so it was only 3 of us. But all in all we had
a fun time.

I like this Tilda with her cute lamb. I think
this image could be used any time of year,
don't you think?  Not just for spring. My
sister in law has a sheep ranch and she
enjoy lambs and sheep all year long. They
are so cute.

I used Copic pens on Tilda and my sister
Karen made my beaded flower for me.
Other items are from my stash.

I am entering my card in these challenges:

Have a great week, I am preparing to offer
some blog candy not this week but next week.
I will keep you all posted.

Pray for me as I am having an ultra sound
on Wed. to keep tabs that cancer is not
forming. I Praise God for His Healing in me.

Hugs to all

Tilda ~ Happy Spring

Hi everyone, say isn't this Tilda image
just too cute. She is all dressed up and
stepping out but it is raining. I can relate
to this as it rains its share  here in the
Pacific Northwest USA.

I am excited as I am having a Stampin' Up
party this Saturday. It is small, only 5 of
us attending. But just the same we will
have a great time. Wish you all were here
to join in on the fun.

I colored Tilda with Copic pens and cut
her out to show off this fun designer paper.

Two shapes of Nestabilities for my Happy
Spring greeting.

MS leaf punch, Flowers and Pearl stick pin
WOC, Beaded Loop by my sister Karen.
Cardstock by SU. Pearls from my stash.

Wish you all could come and stamp
with me.

Spring Flowers

Spring flowers come in all shades and
shapes. So fun to see the wonderful
colors after a dreary winter.

This a fun set from SU called Field Flowers.
It is fun to stamp a lighter shade and then
a darker shade of the same color.

I will enter this card in these challenges:

Crafting For All Seasons ~ Floral Delight

The Paper Shelter ~ Spring Delights

Simon Says Stamps Challenge ~ Spring
Flowers

In the next couple days I am going to
create some card kits and use my
Cuttlebug and create some neat frames
to enhance my cards. I have been using
squares way to much and need to use
circles, ovals and other shapes to give
more personality to my cards.

Do you do the same, kind of stay with
square and forget to use your other shapes?

Many thanks for coming by and sharing
with me, your comments.

Stamping hugs to all
