Birthday Flowers

Hi everyone, say I have been really busy
totally re arranging my hobby room.

Oh my goodness what  a job this has turned
out to be. I am still trying to arrange things
to be user friendly for me, as I
am handicapped.

Plus having moved from a large home to
an apt. Talk about down sizing.

I found I had not featured this card from
my stash. All items are from my SU supplies.
Except the pearls.

I should be up and running soon and making
cards for my blog.

I do miss you all. I have enjoyed visiting your
blogs and viewing your most fantastic cards.
You all inspire me so much.

Have a fun and blessed week.

Friends So Sweet

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly known
as Valentine's Day, or the Feast of Saint
Valentine, is observed on February 14
each year.

It is celebrated in many countries
around the world, although it remains a
working day in most of them.

It is the second most celebrated holiday
around the world second to New Year's Day.

Paper Valentines became so popular in
England in the early 19th century that
they were assembled in factories.

Fancy Valentines were made with real
lace and ribbons, with paper lace introduced
in the mid-19th century.

The reinvention of Saint Valentine's Day in the 1840s has been traced by Leigh Eric Schmidt.

As a writer in Graham's American Monthly observed in 1849, "Saint Valentine's Day... is becoming, nay it has become, a national holyday.

In the United States, the first
mass-produced valentines of embossed
paper lace were produced and sold
shortly after 1847 by Esther Howland
(1828–1904) of Worcester, Massachusetts.

This was a fun card to make with a more
simple layout design.

I used SU Real Red card stock, and other
items from my stash. I also used a
Nestability die cut for my sentiment
base and stippled the edges with a
red tone ink.

I have never really been a Valentine
person, but I do like the colors of
the occasion.

I will enter this card in these challenges:

or Lace

Have a great week everyone, and many
thanks for coming by for a visit.

Love Is In The Air ~ Tilda

Love is in the air and all kinds of wonderful
heart creations are being designed in
many cards.

Love all your sweet card designs, they
inspire me and encourage me in my
card designing.

I enjoy the bright colors of white, pinks
and reds. They are so cheerful.

Tilda is looking pretty in her pink outfit
and colored with Copic pens. Stamped onto
a white floral oval using a nestibility die cut.

Also included MS leaf punch and Flowers
from WOC. Other items from my stash.
